ILT and Virtual Classrooms

Managing ILT Programs

Working with ILT Training Programs

Learning > Instructor Led Training > Training Programs

From the Training Programs area, you can create and manage the training programs that Users can attend to receive classroom or virtual training. If you have not yet created any ILT Programs, you will be prompted to create your first.

With at least one Program created, the page will be divided into two sections: filtering and listing.

Filter the Training Program Listing

Enter text into the text area then click the Filter button filter the listing.

Add a New ILT Program

Click the Add an ILT Program button to add a new ILT Program. You will be prompted to enter a name for the program. Once added, the operations are the same as Editing an ILT Program (covered next).

Editing an ILT Program

From the ILT Programs page, click the Manage button next to the ILT Program you want to edit, and you will be taken to the administrative area for that program:

The most frequent tasks are along the top 3 tiles — Training Sessions, Waitlist and Preview. Note that most areas can be setup with your own defaults (see later in this documentation) so you won’t have to re-enter the same information repetitively.

Training Sessions

From this area you can add and edit sessions, assign meeting to sessions, enroll users, and remove sessions. See the section Working with Training Sessions later in this chapter for more information on the functionality in this section.

Waitlist

From this area you can set up if you want to enable a waitlist for the program, turn on/off notifications to users, and enroll or remove users on the list.

Preview

Click the Preview tile to get a look at what the ILT Program looks like to a user. In this case, the preview will be what the program looks like to a user that is not yet enrolled. You can use this preview to track changes you make to the contents and images.

Blended Learning

Here you can link online courses to the ILT Program, as automatic enrollments, optional enrollment, or for purchasing.

Branding & Design

Here you can set up the contents of the ILT Program page — which is what a user will see when they view the program from their account. Options include uploading a banner image, thumbnail image, 2 program descriptions (one for users not yet enrolled, and one for when they are), and CSS for advanced visual styling of the page.

E-Commerce Settings

Here you can configure if users will have to purchase the ILT Program instead of simply enrolling into it. When set to purchase, you can various settings for the product to determine how much it costs, a product category, and more.

Email Notifications

Here you can set up various email notifications, based on who gets the email, when it should be sent, and what information it should send. It should cover all needs for sending notices to admins, managers, instructors, and users. This in particular would be very useful to set up in the Settings > Default Program Settings area so you don’t have to re-create multiple emails every time you create a new ILT Program.

Enrollment & Attendance

From this area, you can configure how users are enrolled into sessions, and how their attendance should be tracked.

Javascript

You can add in your own Javascript from here, which will run on the user-side pages in this program. For details on using script, hover over the information tip icon.

Linked Resources

Here you can add one or more file resources to the program. It is as easy as dragging files into the drop zone area. You can add Powerpoints, Excel spreadsheets, images, text files and HTML files.

Organizational Settings

Here you can change the Program Name, assign a brief description, add keywords for admin list filtering and also for user side filtering — making it easier to find relevant programs.

Program Certificate

Here you can configure a visual certificate for the program, and set up what requirements need to me met before a user will receive access to it.

Virtual Classroom Settings

From this area you can set up how virtual classes will operate in this program.

Change Log

This area gives you a log of changes that have been made to the program since its creation.
