Weblearning : What's New
Almost a 100% Rewrite
Version 9 includes hundreds of new features and changes - while still retaining an easy-to-use interface .
New Quiz Engine
Completely new quiz delivery engine, with 'skinnable' visual interface, ability to add your own css styles, per-quiz banners, and much much more.
New Slide/Question Types
You can now create 'presentation slides', and insert them into your quizzes in between questions, and also create full learning presentations which can be paused and resumed (not available on all plan types).
Question Data
All questions (and slides) now track changes via a change-log system, track versioning, and also offer an author-notes field. You can also add a 'sequence number' to each question/slide to create quizzes and presentations that deliver questions in a pre-determined order (shuffling questions is also still available, but now its per-quiz instead of account-wide).
New Module Types
You can now create three types of modules (in some plans), a graded quiz, a practice quiz, and a learning presentation.
New Course Designer
Courses gain a lot in version 9. You can create courses with up to 4 tabs (pages) each, configurable enrollment and login pages (per course), extended course history with quiz summary and certificate links, place quizzes/presentations anywhere and individually (as opposed to all in a single block), and much more.
Quizzes can now be placed into multiple courses
If you are using version 8, you know that you can only place a quiz into one course at a time. In version 9, you can place quizzes (and presentations) into multiple courses at the same time.
Configurable settings and templates for just about eveything
This includes (but is not limited to) certificate layouts (per quiz), pass and fail responses (per quiz), complete and incomplete responses (per presentation), Intro text (per quiz/presentation), Email to student (per quiz), email to admin (per quiz), question reports (per quiz/response page/email), enrollment type (per course), listing type (per course), enrollment code (per course), and much much more.
Visual Editors Vastly Improved
Everywhere in the system that you enter in text or content, you will be using extremely feature-rich editors (think 'Microsoft Word'). It will now be easy to insert images, tables, stylize text, and more.
New Course Administrator Interface
Completely new interface with next/back buttons, more consistent layout and status messaging system, tabbed sections for easier use, integration of the latest technologies (such as AJAX), and much much more.
Better Student Organization
Working with students is a breeze, with tabs for each letter, and improved exporting.
Vastly Improved Reporting
New reporting now includes graphs, statistical analysis such as range, median, mode, average, highest/lowest, #times passed/failed, and more.
Student Summary Improved
This report now includes time spent per quiz, the ability to print off a certificate, and the ability to override a score.
Activity Report Improved
Student activity reports now contain more information, track the data forever (do not truncate it), and can be viewed in various ways such as per time period, per access type (module or course), and more.
