Test Pro Developer
Lan Testing Edition
This edition (based on Test Pro version 8 technology) enables you to deliver secure, proctored classroom tests. This technology uses two or more software components, and requires software to be installed on to both the instructors PC, and each student PC.
NOTE: Unless you are upgrading from an older version, or prefer this system over browser-based systems, we suggest using our Weblearning System for classroom-based testing and training, which is a browser-based delivery system that scales better, and is administratively less cumbersome.
What is a Proctored Classroom Test?
Using Atrixware technology, a "proctored classroom" test is one that uses a traditional client/server architecture to deliver the test and monitor student connections. This is not a browser-based/http technology like our Weblearning System - instead, it uses simple Windows file/folder sharing.
This type of delivery is best for:
- Classrooms of 5 to 30 students
- Environments having no Internet Connectivity
- Environments requiring the highest level of security
How Does it Work - Overview
Here is the basic overview:
- Test Pro Developer is used to author the test(s) and enroll student access.
- Lan Test Manager (or Test Pro Developer for smaller implementations) is used to make the tests (up to 20 at a time) available on the LAN.
- The students (up to 100 at a time) will "log in" to the test (using the Lan Client software), answer the questions, and submit their responses.
- Finally, you remove the test from the LAN, and perform your analysis of the responses and scores from within Test Pro Developer.
Try Test Pro Developer
Test Pro Developer is available in an almost-fully-functional shareware edition, with the following limitations:
1. Each test can have only 5 questions.
2. You will not be able to import questions.
3. You can test the LAN testing functionality for only 2 students
Tip: After you have downloaded and installed Test Pro Developer, you will be prompted for which 'edition' you want to evaluate. Make sure you choose 'professional edition' to properly evaluate the features in this edition.
You will also need the following software for your server and for the student/candidate workstations:
